FabindiaSince I have been hunting rather desperately for online stores that have the things I want i decided to make a list to help fellow readers… I’ll be covering a majority of places that I know about. Not just for beauty but for everything.
*If I don;t write something in the description it’s because I haven’t shopped there.
Starting with the famous Flipkart:
- Flipkart – My favourite site… Excellent site and amazing service. Love them.
- Junglee – Amazon’s Indian version
- Medplusbeauty – I don’t think i need to rave about this site anymore. I’ve raven enough, this is an excellent site and an excellent collection with excellent discounts.
- Urbantouch – Collection is amazing with a lot of stuff that other sites don’t have.
- Landmarkonthenet – Bigger discounts than any other site that I ever seen.
- Shoppers stop – Nice collection but nothing special.
- Greenscarf
- Fommy India
- The Altitude store – lovely collection of food and other things that I can’t get in my town.
- Globus
- Fabindia – needs no explanation.
- Marks and spencer India – Again needs no explanation.
- Bestylish

- Inonit
- Chumbak – have a few keychains, amazing. lovely and quirky.
- Bharat Dorris
- Iraya – looks very promising…. I’m still waiting for a mail from them regarding ingredients.

If there is anything I am missing please do post it in the comment section below. And I want to ask you a question, as a blogger, why do other bloggers just come to your post like it and go, it’s as if to fulfil a social obligation. I dislike people who do that when I take the time to read every post and comment on it, why do certain others just like it and go. I mean, every single post. Please do answer this question if you have the answer.

Personally, I do take the time to read posts before I like them, but sometimes it can be for a lack of comments to make. You could just like a post after reading for appreciation that the blogger wrote it, but not have anything insightful to say on the topic. I’m sure you wouldn’t want every comment to just be “great post,” “nice piece,” “love those items,” repetitively from every commenter without any true input. Besides, how many ways can you respond to those types of comments anyway?
Liking a post also indicates that you did visit the page and (for all intents and purposes, at least appear to have) read it. For some people it’s to say “I was here and I read this.” Other times I like posts because I like the ideas or images that have been shared, but may not necessarily agree with the opinions and just don’t want to say so publicly. Once in a while I’d just get sick of saying the same thing every time a new post is up – for example, on a food post, my regular comments are “that looks delicious,” “you’re so talented!” and “can’t wait to try this!” But it probably gets cumbersome for the blogger to sift through those comments anyway and what can they really say in response to it?
At the very least, it shows that whomever stopped by took the time to glance at your post, however short-lived it was. Don’t take it too personally
Oh, I forgot to mention that sometimes it’s not applicable to the reader. Like if a blogger is talking about a service or restaurant in another country, I’d like the post because I like the contents, but what I actually know about the topic is barely worth commenting about. So that could be another reason for reader likes.
that i totally understand…. i kinda have a habit of commenting on every post i read to show that I’ve read it and like it only when it is something i really like. my mistake to assume that everyone would do the same
ah. I wasn’t taking it personally, just a few personal friends of mine who have blogs themselves keep clicking like but never remember anything i wrote if i bring it up in a convo. kinda pisses me off. but i see your point. repetitive comments do get tiresome and aren’t very impressive to new visitors. :-
D
Well here’s the perfect chance to see if they read this post after clicking like
They should know who you’re talking about! Better not to have liked the post at all if they didn’t even skim through it haha. Especially since you have the opportunity to grill them
heh heh heh. agree. i think they do it coz they think they’ll hurt my feelings but hey, if you do’t read my blog you don’t read my blog…. don’t fake it. there’s no need to. right? i’d be happier connecting with folks who share similar interests than those who just come like and go.
I do understand the liking and leaving though – sometimes the number of blog posts to read out there can be quite overwhelming! But you’re absolutely right, there’s no need for friends to appear to follow so closely (in fact, I don’t even tell my friends I’m blogging haha), because everyone has different interests and if they’re not into it, they don’t have to indulge in mine
agree. I didn’t tell them though. they found my blog page on my profile and cornered me. i kinda wish i had lied now
Haha it’s okay, no shame in blogging! I’m just secretive because it’s a side of me that my friends have never seen – I’m still a tomboy in their eyes
lol. join me in the club. since the athletics and the tennis they refuse to accept….
I would like to suggest one more Online Shopping site in India namely Puma India Online Store – The official PUMA India Online Store provides the largest collections of PUMA products.
