Review: Inglot Lip Defence treatment

I love lipbalms. That is a pretty obvious thing. But I cannot find good lipbalms. That is another obvious thing. I am not the kinda person who likes body shop lipbalms. In fact I have kinda been going through a TBS aversion right now and have stopped using all their products for a while. So I was in desperate need of a lipbalm that did not require me to stick my finger into a sticky gooey pot and them smear it on my lips (pretty picture eh Smile with tongue out ) Enter Inglot Lipbalm

Now. I would not have bought the Lipbalm had it not been for me having to return two of my lipsticks because i got damaged goods by mistake. (returned with no problems and replaced with the same colours) And I remembered that I wanted to check the MAC lipbalms when I spotted this. Now, I do own a MAC lipbalm that I am utterly in love with but that is a pot and I cannot keep washing my hands each time I want to apply lipbalm so I need something that is in either a tube or a twist up form.

The packaging is honestly bag. I would have expected more from a company like lipbalm. While it is cheery and all I expected much more sophisticated looking packaging. This just looks like the Maybelline lip balm packaging.

What a pretty pink colour. I am utterly in love with it and cannot get enough. Seriously. I was until i discovered that this has no colour payoff. Not bad but I wish it had colour payoff like the Mac lipbalms.

See what i mean when I say no colour payoff? Well, anyway. It is of excellent quality so I’ll give you that much.

It costs about 250 INR for 3.3 gms and is available at Inglot stores. I couldn’t find it online on shopatmajorbrands so I don’[t know where else you can get it.

PROS:

  • Twist up tube
  • Easy to use
  • Inexpensive, it is really really cheap
  • Feels light
  • Gets absorbed easily

CONS:

  • No colour payoff
  • Availability
  • Packaging sucks
  • Smells very ordinary. Not too bad but not pleasant either.

I find the quality to be absolutely amazing. For the price it is excellent. But I would still say that it is sad that it doesn’t have colour payoff. It would have been perfect if it had. I don’t like the smell but I don’t hate it.

Would I repurchase? Probably yes, since I have been using it almost daily. but only to wear under lip sticks. Not otherwise.

  1. I’d like to try these. I agree that Mac has good lip balms but I really wish they came in stick form. their lip conditioner is great and in stick form but not tinted…if you haven’t tried it yet.
