Review: Bourjois Paris 1 seconde Nail Varnish in 10

I’m sorry, I can’t find the name of the nailpolish. I tried looking everywhere. I an only find a number. I’ve decided to call it the never dry plum.

Anyway, This costs about 350 INR but you can get it for INR254 at medplus.

The claim of this polish is that it dries in a second. Bullshit. It also claims that the brush is big enough to cover the entire nail? Well, it is. Too big. Look at how my nails are painted. I can understand if I’m doing nail art and my nails are messy, I don’t understand this.

The colour is absolutely gorgeous. It is a deep plum-purple with shimmer in it. Problem is, the shimmer doesn’t show unless you waggle your hand in light. (BTW these are old pics I forgot to transfer them to my PS, see how untanned my skin is? I wonder how to get it back to this stage)

Anyway, so here is how it goes. I put on a coat and leave it for 5 minutes. It isn’t dry. So I wait another 5 minutes, it seems to be dry so I put on another coat and leave it (the word to focus on here is SEEMS). I go to sleep two hours later with the polish looking nice and wake up to find it looking like the surface of a creased cotton shirt.

It has lines, bedsheet imprints and god knows what else on it (I even found a bit on thread on one)

See how bad the application is? The polish is too thick and clumpy and gets like that after a few uses. Which is very exhausting and irritating and an utter waste of money.

PROS:

• Very pigmented, two coats is enough
• Nice range of colours

CONS:

• Streaky application
• NEVER dries
• Gets clumpy in the bottle after a while
• Expensive (for the quality 50 rs more and I can buy Zoya)

Would I repurchase? No way in hell. Made the mistake of buying two more colours and those are in the dustbin now. An utter waste of money, add 50 INR more and buy zoya or go for other brands. This isn’t even close to the quality of the other Bourjois polishes.
